Westpoint 2011

Westpoint 2011 was an amazing experience! Superb teaching, Jesus-exalting worship and an offering that raised £101,000 were some of the highlights of our time together. Churches from across the South & South West of England, and a crowd of people from elsewhere in the UK and overseas, gathered together to enjoy friendship, fun and the presence of God in the beautiful Devon countryside. It was definitely a highlight of the summer!

Westpoint 2012 is set to be even bigger and better - don't miss it!

Big Meetings

The morning and evening meetings are at the heart of what Westpoint is about. We've got some great speakers lined up as well as an exciting programme for the children. We're looking forward to joining with thousands of God's people to come into his presence and learn, love and go together.

Sports & Games

Football and volley ball competitions will take place in the Main Ring on Friday and Saturday afternoons. A number of spare areas on site are suitable for playing sports and games.

Photography & Filming

You and your children may be photographed or filmed for use in advertising future events. Please tell the photographer if you do not wish to take part in this.

Guest Speakers

We're going international for Westpoint 2012!

PJ Smyth (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Vinu Paul (Mumbai, India) will be with us. Vinu is at the vanguard of what Newfrontiers is doing in India and moves powerfully in the Spirit. As a family of churches we are deeply committed to seeing the gospel advance in India, and having Vinu with us will be inspiring! PJ started Godfirst Church in 2005 and following phenomenal growth the church now gathers thousands of people every week. PJ has an incredible gift of leadership and teaching and a passion to see local churches pumping with the goodness and grace of Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Details of the Ignite (12-15) meetings and afternoon/late chill-outs in the Cabin will be in the programme. 16+ and Students will be in the main meeting but have their own space and get together in The Square.

Offering

Our Saturday offering will go towards the work of Newfrontiers as announced in the meetings.

Children & Creche

We've got some fantastic activities planned for our children! Details of theKids (5-11) and Pre-School (3-4) activities will be shown in the Programme. Ages for meetings are strictly as at 31 August.

This is an open access site and children remain the responsibility of their parents, carers or a nominated adult at all times. Parents look after their own children in The Square Parent/Child zone.

We want every child and young person to enjoy the event in a safe and secure way. Safeguarding policies are in place and children and youth workers hold a CRB Certificate.

We don't provide Crèche facilities but parents and under 3's can relax in The Square play zone and live screen during meetings.

Serving

There are lots of opportunities to serve at Westpoint. We need people to help with everything from stewarding and toilet cleaning to first aid and children's work. We also need a team to get to Westpoint before the event to set the site up; and others to be there after it to help take everything down. Why not get involved?!

If you are aged 18 or over and have the agreement of your Church leaders you can serve. We welcome people who are able to do just mornings or evenings (in theKidz or cleaning for instance), but if you can do a whole day - great! A CRB is needed in some areas.

The various areas are listed on the bookings page - tick those you're interested in, and one of our team leaders will be in touch. Please email suzi@togetheratwestpoint.org.uk if you'd like more information.
